Crisps (making your own)

crisps2_cookingflipWe have a crisps maker.  A very simple gadget.  It has a blade to slice, a little rack to arrange the sliced potatoes in, and a bowl for serving.

Slice the potatoes, pat dry with a kitchen towel, arrange in the rack, microwave for 4 minutes maximum (800 watts).

Before we got the gadget, we also made our own–but we first greased both sides of the crisp with olive oil, placed them on an ordinary china plate (yes, laying down)–so we had to flip over the crisps midway.

Happy crunching!
